// Betpanda is an odds comparison and betting education guide: it shows the best public bookmaker price on each outcome, explains what the numbers mean, and offers calculators. It takes no bets, holds no money and has no virtual currency.
[01] Information collected // inputs
None. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location, and there is no account to create. The only things you type are numbers in the calculators — a stake, a price, a probability — and a search term when you look for a competition. None of it is stored or transmitted.
[02] Local storage // on-device
Kept in OS-level local storage on your device, never uploaded:
- Preferences — odds format, bookmaker region, favourite competitions, and whether outright markets are listed.
- Odds cache — recently fetched prices and scores, each stamped with the time it was received, so the app can show them again without a new request. Clearable at any time from Settings.
- Fair-use ledger — the times of recent live requests, used only to pace how often this device may refresh prices.
- First-launch flag — one boolean recording that you finished the introduction slides.
Uninstalling the app deletes every byte.
[03] Permissions // runtime
The app declares android.permission.INTERNET and nothing else. It is used solely to fetch odds and scores from the data service described below. No runtime permission prompt is ever shown, and no iOS usage-description keys are declared.
[04] Network // egress
One endpoint: api.the-odds-api.com (The Odds API), which compiles public bookmaker prices. When you open a competition, the app requests that sport's odds for the bookmaker region you chose, sending the app's own shared access key. The request carries no account, no device identifier and no advertising ID; like any internet request it exposes your IP address to the service for the duration of the connection, which we neither receive nor store. Each installed copy is limited to a small allowance of live requests, enforced entirely on the device.
[05] Third parties // vendors
Only the odds data service above. No advertising network, no analytics or attribution SDK, no crash reporter, no social or login provider. Beyond the Flutter framework the dependencies are an HTTP client and local-storage / state-management libraries (http, hive, hive_flutter, shared_preferences, flutter_riverpod).
[06] Age & responsible use // 18+
Betpanda is an information and education tool about sports betting, intended for adults of legal gambling age in their jurisdiction. It does not take bets, cannot place them, and nothing in it is betting advice. It includes guidance on limits and free, confidential helplines for anyone for whom gambling has stopped being fun. Because no personal information is collected from anyone, none is collected from minors either.
[07] Your rights // you
Everything the app stores lives on your own device, so you control it directly. Every preference is editable inside the app, the odds cache can be cleared from Settings, and clearing the app’s storage from your device settings or uninstalling Betpanda erases all of it. No deletion request needs to be sent to us, because no copy exists anywhere for us to hold.
[08] Changes // changelog
If this policy changes, the updated field at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes are also noted in the app's release notes.
